Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.
The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his loved ones, and all those touched by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
