This strategic shift follows major restructuring at the state-funded body, including the stepping down of its former chief executive last month after both staff concerns and official demands for comprehensive reform.

Increasing Digital Threats

The latest project comes amid increasing worry about the UK's exposure to digital service failures and digital assaults.

Recent events have highlighted these vulnerabilities, including a widespread failure affecting international online platforms and fresh digital assaults that disrupted production at significant plants and supply chains across several organizations.

A former commander of the UK's air and space warfare centre will report back next month on how the publicly-supported center can best support the extent of national AI objectives in national security, national security and intelligence.

The center's head, a ex-Amazon UK executive, confirmed that multiple research initiatives at the organization with 440 employees have been terminated, transferred out or finished because they fail to match with the revised strategy.
