Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a barrier and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a performance. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others called for digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In videos shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Numerous of fans had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the sequel of a two-film adaptation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two contrasting characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
