The House Oversight Committee has released a batch of roughly 70 photos from the estate of deceased convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third such release from a tranche of more than 95,000 photos the committee has secured from Epstein's estate. It includes pictures of quotes from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a female's body, and obscured images of women's foreign passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the December 19th deadline for the Department of Justice to release all records connected to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These new photographs pose additional inquiries about precisely what the Justice Department has in its holdings," stated the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Released

Some of the photographs published on recently show Epstein conversing with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon seated at a table facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest high-net-worth, prominent men to be seen in Epstein property photos released by the committee - earlier published pictures also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the photos is not indication of any misconduct, and many of the pictured individuals have said they were in no way participating in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a press release accompanying the photo disclosure, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not offer context or timings for the images.

"Images were picked to furnish the general populace with transparency into a representative sample of the photos acquired from the holdings, and to give perspectives into Epstein's network and his exceptionally troubling actions," the release reads.

The disclosure also includes multiple photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in ink across various areas of a female's body, like her chest, foot, pelvis, and rear. Lolita recounts the tale of a young girl who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

An example of a quote from the novel written across a female's torso says, "Lolita: the end of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the palate to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of photos of female travel documents and official papers from states globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the details on the papers, including identities and dates of birth, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee stated in a statement that the passports pertain to "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were engaging".

Another photo shows Epstein positioned at a table in close proximity surrounded by three female figures whose features have been censored - one has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and another individual is bending to examine a close-by computer. Epstein seems to be assisting the final person attach a bracelet.

A further image released is a capture of SMS messages from an unnamed sender who says they have been sent "several females" and are asking for "$$1,000 for each individual".

Image Release Arrives Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The committee has a vast number of images in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously disturbing and mundane," its announcement on Thursday explained.

The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the holdings of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The photographs and files the Epstein property gave to the panel are different than what is largely called "the Epstein documents". That material are papers in the Department of Justice's control connected to its own investigation into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President enacted recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its records. The scope of the contents found in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's probable that a large amount of the content will be extensively redacted, comparable to the committee's materials
